SCIENTIFIC GUIDELINES



The THREE BEST PAPERS and THREE BEST POSTERS in Student category will be rewarded.
The BEST PAPER (DELEGATE CATEGORY), BEST TABLE CLINIC (DELEGATE CATEGORY) AND BEST TABLE CLINIC (STUDENT CATEGORY) will be appreciated.

For the conference, a presentation would be based on the submission of abstract. The scientific committee will review the submissions, and choose the ones to be included in the conference.

Guidelines for scientific presentation (Delegate category)


  • Registration for the conference is mandatory for abstract submission.
  • The paper should be categorized into - one of the following competitive categories :
    • 1. Dental materials.
    • 2. Conservative dentistry.
    • 3. Endodontics.
    • 4. Regeneration.
    • 5. Esthetic dentistry.
    • 6. Surgical Endodontics.
  • The oral paper presentation should be on original research, case series/case reports or systematic review.
  • Abstracts must be original and should not have been previously published or presented at a previous conference.
  • Acceptance of abstract submission is subject to decision of the scientific committee, which shall be final and binding.
  • Abstract must be submitted using the on the link on the website.
  • All abstracts should be structured and state the :
    Context (Background)
    Aims
    Methods & Material
    Statistical Analysis
    Results
    Conclusions
  • Abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
  • Last date for submission of abstracts will be 26th September 2022
  • Final paper presentation must be submitted by online submission on website
  • The total duration of the oral paper presentation will be 10minutes - 8 min for presentation and 2 min for discussion.
  • All the PowerPoint presentations and should be in MS office 2007 compatible mode.
  • Final PPT once submitted cannot be changed or modified.


Guidelines for scientific presentation (Student category)


GUIDELINES FOR PAPER PRESENTATION

To facilitate the delegates with their presentations, the Scientific Committee recommends the following instructions :
  • 1. The presenter should be an IACDE member and a registered delegate of the conference.
  • 2. Each presenter can complete the online abstract submission process on the website.
  • 3. There is no restriction on the number of papers / posters submitted from an institution.
  • 4. Work should be original, unpublished and should not have been previously presented at national / international meetings. The uniqueness or innovation of the presentation would be considered significant.
  • 5. Presentation should fall under any one of the following fields :
    • 1. Dental materials.
    • 2. Conservative dentistry.
    • 3. Endodontics.
    • 4. Regeneration.
    • 5. Esthetic dentistry.
    • 6. Traumatology.
    • 7. Surgical Endodontics.
  • 6.The oral paper presentation should be on original research, case series/case reports or systematic review.
  • 7. Students are recommended to upload a scanned copy of the bonafide certificate duly signed by the Head of the Department.
  • 8. Participants are to present in one of the either category- paper or poster or table clinic.
  • 9. Maximum No. of students sharing a paper – 2.
  • 10. Time limit for oral presentation -8 minutes+ 2 min Q&A session
  • 11. All abstracts should be structured and state the :

    Conclusions
  • 12. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
  • 13. Last date for submission of abstracts will be 26th September 2022.

  • 15. Kindly note that for systematic reviews case reports/case series and a non structured abstract not exceeding 250 words can be submitted.

GUIDELINES FOR E-POSTER PRESENTATION

  • 1. It is mandatory for participants to be registered for the conference.
  • 2. All accepted posters will be displayed in the digital format on high resolution monitor.
  • 3. During the presentation time, authors should be available for discussion of the E-poster. A formal presentation would be mandatory.
  • 4. Time duration for presentation - 6 min + 2 min discussion.
  • 5. All posters to be set in portrait style orientation (and all information i.e. text, data, photos and figures) must be designed to appear within one slide/image.
  • 6. Poster should be written ONLY in English language.
  • 7. Title of the E-poster should brief and match with the provided topic.
  • 8. The title and subheadings should be written in bold. Please select background colors that contrast well with the font to allow easy reading of the text.
  • 9. Make sure that any photographs or figures being used in the poster are with sufficient size so that they are clearly visible, with a minimum of 300 dpi resolution.
  • 10. The number of photographs should be limited to only those that are essential and relevant for the poster.

GUIDELINES FOR TABLE CLINIC PRESENTATION


an opportunity to exhibit your innovative skill and knowledge.
Table clinics are informal, interactive presentations addressing clinical situations of everyday practice.
They could be related to anything relevant to clinical practice.

Entries are called for two categories :
1. Post-graduate residents
2. Faculty

  • 1. Abstracts must be original and should not have been previously published or presented at a previous conference.
  • 2. Acceptance of abstract submission is subject to decision of the scientific committee which shall be final and binding.
  • 3. Abstract must be submitted using the link on the website.
  • 4. Maximum No. of students permitted sharing a presentation - 2.
  • 5. Maximum No. of faculty for table clinic presentation - 1.
